Points System: Possibility?

I was just thinking that maybe we could spruce up the server a little bit, Maybe get a points system, add some things that might bring more people in?

 

I was thinking maybe one that shows everyone, like lets say I kill someone, it'll pop up saying "-\/G- DJFirespitter Got 2 points for killing (Insert dead persons name here) and then it'll show a total like 5002 afterwords or something?

 

I have seen this on other servers and I think its a good thing to add on our server

I've also had an idea about the AWP. I've had a lot of complaints about how anyone can get it at any time, I had the idea of people having to earn their weapons making it a little more challenging for people to come in and AWP the entire time, maybe start off with 800 at the beginning of the map and progressing as the time goes on, I feel this would be the best of both worlds, not eliminating the AWP but giving other people a chance to earn it, and or use it.

problem with starting with 800 is you have someone that comes in and wrecks the opposite team cause noone has money to buy better weapons to kill the other team and they get stuck on shitty weapons thus losing people playing on the server.

 

Things like that always happened back when I played 1.6 we never lost players, I think the players played a little more professionally using what they had to the best of their ability.

 

I do agree with the annoying awps and that people always use them every round I think the idea of earning this op weapon is a very good idea.
