TF2 QuickPlay Servers - Fixed

    About a month ago our TF2 Quickplay servers (Harvest, 2Fort, Turbine, Dustbowl) were removed from Quickplay due to an update and without my knowledge. This caused the server traffic to drop off drastically as you've all probably seen, those servers have been pretty empty.

    I was able to debug and fix the issue last night and our servers are now relisted. Please join these servers to help re populate them. We only need 12-14 players in the server for Quickplay to kick in. I would appreciate everyone's help in restoring them to there former glory, it should only take a few days.

    there need to be people on a server for quick play to send you there? since when?

    It's always been that way. Valve doesn't list it, but to actively get quick play to fill your server you need 15+ players on your server. Valve doesn't send quickplay traffic to empty servers, otherwise you would get a WTF from SPUF. The only exception to this is during special events (Halloween) in which there's a ton of traffic for a certain type of map, then the system will fill all servers available to try and handle the traffic.

    really? i often get sent to empty maps using quickplay.

    That's because the server is faking player count to valves back end, which is then tricking quickplay into sending players to the server. These servers usually don't last very long and get blacklisted.
