picking up metal in game tf2

hey has anybody noticed when you walk over weapons you don't collect the metal anymore at least i can't

 

Yes, that's part of the Gun Mettle update. Players drop an ammo pack on death in addition to the weapon, so the ammo pack is what you want to pick up. The weapon cannot be picked up for ammo; instead, if it's a weapon your class can use, you can swap it with the weapon you have equipped in the appropriate loadout slot and use it until you die or swap it out again. It's kind of like Counter Strike; pick up the weapon and use it.

 

That and the powerjack nerf are the two things I don't like from this update.

 

There's a lot about the update I don't like.

I'm just closing my eyes and waiting for competitve

 

Don't care for the update either... seems like they were focusing on "how can we make more money off tf2"
