So any word on this new counter strike or at least updated counter strike. I hear there is suppose to be this new cross play form play, like PS3 and pc's playing each other. Not really sure how well that would work out of it was true. Questions and comments welcomed on this topic.

Yeah I heard it's 'supposed' to be cross platform. I'm not sure how well that's going to work out... since PC players will most likely dominate. I had read somewhere that they had abandoned the idea.

Ok thanks, I think your right sounds nice but in reality I think it would have had big issues.

Valve has ditched cross-platform play in upcoming downloadable shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
The Half-Life maker had planned to allow PC and Mac players to face off against PlayStation 3 owners - as it did with Portal 2.
But Valve removed the functionality based on feedback gleaned from the ongoing beta, Chet Faliszek told Joystiq.
"The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC," he said.
"To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn't hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play - essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them."
CS:GO is still on course for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this summer

Just a copy and pasted the article. But those playing on a computer would have such an advantage that i think it would be difficult to have made it work.
