It might be useful to include an option on the forums for admins/ community managers to comment and allow only certain ranked(?) people to read their comment.

A use i see for this is for admin applications or member applications where an admin or someone might not want to be so forthcoming about what they think. If someone is a friend for instance but you dont believe they would make a good admin/ member it would be a useful tool instead of messaging admins or others individually to voice your concern.

Just a thought but i think it would be useful, at least in the application section.

I've seen this done on other gaming community's forums, but I'm personally not a fan of it. For applications, I think it's better to just make a quick post in the Recruitment Area.

If you have a concern or problem we have the admin thread column and managers as well for that reason. Any thing can be voiced there so there really is no need to secrecy or behind closed doors so to say in the same thread.

well as opposed to me telling gotcha or some other managers out of context in plain chat it would be easier to just have it on the thread for continual referral because it might be forgotten and it will be less bothersome.

it seems a bit silly to create another thread to comment on a thread because it would get too cluttered going between the two+ threads just for comments on a singular application, especially considering how quickly they are usually accepted, the other threads might not be read until after the fact

You can tag the application reviewers in your thread and post a link to the application in it to reduce clutter.

The way I've seen the hidden comments thing before is that it the content is hidden but it still shows who made the comment. With that form at least, people know you're talking about them behind their backs.

This could be implemented easily if we decided to.

we could make it so it does not appear that the person commented? the thread just carries on as normal but to admins/ managers the comment appears.

Simple idea in theory, but I would think that would be a lot more complicated in practice to set something up that way. I'm not the coder, though, so I'm not qualified to make that judgment.

A way I am seeing it and not sure if this is the way you're talking about Riptide, but would when you go to comment you can choose maybe in the comment box whether to be hidden or public. Then we could just set Managers up to be able to see all hidden comments.

exactly, it could be something similar to when a comment is deleted, some people are still able to view it, while to everyone else it doesn't appear.
