My sister is still haunted to this day by Chucky from Child's Play, however it fades in comparison to this movie... The Thing.

hm, I don't think I ever had a movie scare me or frighten me. Though, it's not like I watch them often.

I thought this was relevant to share in this discussion.

I wasn't doing anything this evening so I figured to watch some movies and one that a family member had gotten was "Unfriended" I had no idea really what it was about till I looked up the trailer and was shocked to see it being a Reality Horror flick. I gave it a watch and man it was actually very good and such a unique movie. They did a great job on it, very realistic and believable. I hope they do another!

I'm in the same boat as your sister, Child's Play fucked me up for a while there, but I was 5 when I watched it (Thanks Mom). Since then though not many movies have really been scary for me, seems like most films either try for jump scares or gore but nothing really creepy/scary :(

Yeah it seems most movies today of different genres seem to lose their touch with new movies coming out or remakes.

um, okayyyy then.. To much information! lol

  10. I haven't seen Unfriended but the trailer seemed hilarious. Bastards got what they deserved.
As for scariest thing I've ever seen, those Slenderman entry videos on youtube.
Some of them had those static alien sounds which got into my head.
    But that was years ago

Slenderman is not scary, what makes slenderman intimidating is the static sounds themselves.Horror movie characters from the 80's are the scariest and other scary movies.

I refuse to watch scary movies :) I'm a lil bitch with shit like this. Atleast, I have been, lately I feel more inclined to watched shit like this. I used to walk away from the TV when just the commercials came on

EDIT: The Source of my fears: I was just browsing through the scariest villains of "all time" and one of them popped up that looked familiar, and I realised it was "The Creeper" From "Jeepers Creepers" Now when I was like 2(yeah I'm young considering the movie came out in '01)I watched this with my babysitter and I had nightmares about this movie occasionally for at least a decade. Thus, I never watched horror movies.

Dude, Village of the Damned scared me when I was a kid, but I don't like kids. I didn't like kids then and the evil alien-hybrids in the movie with their glowing eyes and telekinesis pretty much cemented that for me.

The Thing(1982 film) and its remake is the king of horror movies. These Metal Gear Solid Raiden white hair kids are nothing compared to the alien in this movie.
